Spark EDM Machinist

Contek Recruitment are currently working with a precision engineering client, located in Sparkbrook, Birmingham. Due to company growth, our client are looking for a Spark EDM Machinist to join their small team on a full-time, permanent basis.Our client are a quality-focused precision engineering company specialising in the supply of complex precision components and sub-assemblies, to customers ranging from large corporations to small and specialised companies. All work is completed in accordance with ISO : 9001 requirements.They supply numerous industrial sectors, including aerospace, packaging, electronics, motorsport, medical, pharmaceutical, and plastic injection moulding, both in the UK and overseas.WORKING HOURS : Monday to Thursday (08 : 00 until 16 : 30) & Friday (08 : 00 until 13 : 00)SALARY / PAY : £16-18 per hour (Dependent on experience)DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Machining a range of metals into precision components for aerospace, motorsport, and medical applications.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical diagrams
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment at all times.
• Providing feedback to team leaders and shop floor staff to highlight any technical issues or potential risks.PERSON REQUIREMENTS :
• Previous experience working within spark EDM machining is required.
• Understanding of CMM machinery.
