It is currently seeking a skilled &versatile Manual Machinist with Assembly skills to help keep upwith the workload.

Daily Responsibilities :

As a Manual Machinist , your main dutieswill include :

  • Operating manual lathesand mills, with extensive use of XYZmachines.
  • Ensuring precise machining, workingto tight tolerances, and producing excellent surface finishes bothinternally and externally.
  • Cutting threads andspot-facing on manual machines.
  • Reading andinterpreting engineering drawings.
  • Inspectingmachined components using bore comparators, micrometers, verniercallipers, and air gauges.
  • The role will alsorequire involvement in assembly andfitting , where youwill :

  • Use hand tools and presses, andapply aerospace jointing compounds, with full training provided ifnecessary.
  • Assemble components following strictschedules and detailed customerspecifications.
  • Conduct pressure testing,beading, and part marking whereneeded.

  • This Manual Machinist role requiresadaptability to cover various departmental tasks, especially duringsingle-point failures.
  • Experience within theaerospace sector and a solid understanding of AS9100 standards andmaterial traceability is essential.

  • A ManualMachinist should be time-served orapprentice-trained, with a high level of experience in manualmachining and fitting techniques.
  • 16-18.50hourly rate on offer.
