This position is to join the Signal Integrity Products (SIP) group. The focus of this Business Unit is automotive LiDAR chipsets, a revolutionary way of using light to detect the position of objects for ADAS systems including autonomous driving. Think radar but using light.

This role is a great opportunity to work with a highly motivated team of engineers who have worked in the communications industry for many years, working alongside a world-class design team to produce market leading products for the data communication’s industry.

Job Summary :

Searching for experienced mixed signal semiconductor Senior Automotive RF system Engineer with direct experience, and track record, of bringing automotive products through the NPI development process from definition to production release, including relevant functional safety and qualification related analysis. Preferably RF (up to 1 GHz) LiDAR opto-electronics, specifically transimpedance amplifiers, silicon optical amplifier drivers and laser drivers.

Responsibilities :

  • Understand and demonstrate knowledge of automotive systems, architecture and applications (preferably for ADAS, LiDAR / Radar)
  • Understand the requirements of optoelectronic mixed signal ICs and their impact to the performance of the end application.
  • Define top level system architecture, item definition and safety concepts optimised for mixed signal LiDAR ICs.
  • Follow the formal V-model / ISO26262 process.
  • Own the delivery of customer documentation, application notes and datasheets.
  • Perform NPI activities, including PCB design, documentation, optical component selection & system level testing.
  • Stay abreast of industry technical and business trends through benchmarking and / or participation in professional associations.
  • Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to multiple, interdependent, complex problems.
  • Foster strong internal and external networks and work with and across multiple teams to achieve business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • BSc in a relevant engineering degree, preferably a higher degree in optical related engineering Masters or PhD.
  • 10 years+ experience in complex PCB / electronics / optical Mixed signal chip support / design.
  • Experience of Automotive systems engineering, hardware architecture concept, item definition and Medini is desirable.
