This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual looking to take the next step in their career, with a clear path to Director-level responsibility.As a key member of our engineering team, you will lead the design and delivery of structural projects across various sectors including residential, commercial, and heritage buildings. You’ll also play a central role in business development, team leadership, and strategic planning as the business continues to expand.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead structural design projects from concept to completion
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Prepare detailed design calculations and drawings in accordance with British Standards and Eurocodes
  • Conduct site inspections and structural assessments
  • Contribute to the development of internal systems and quality assurance procedures
  • Support business development and contribute to proposal writing and client pitches
  • Engage in strategic planning and help shape the future direction of the businessRequirements
  • Chartered status with the IStructE or ICE
  • Minimum 5 years of post-chartership experience
  • Strong technical knowledge in structural design across multiple materials
  • Proficient in structural design software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, Robot, AutoCAD / Revit)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
