Our Ofsted rated Outstanding school is looking for a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join our team!
As a Teaching Assistant at SWAAY you will be willing to engage in all aspects of the school curriculum including sports activities on daily basis whilst promoting positive behaviour and independent learning. You will offer secondary education to young males aged 1117 with attachment difficulties developmental trauma and sexually harmful behaviour. You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining safe learning environments safeguarding pupils and liaising with residential and therapy staff as required. Previous e xperience with neurodiverse and SEN young people is desired.
Our aim is to provide each of our pupils with an Education for Life by valuing and respecting them as individuals developing their selfesteem relationships and attachments.
As a Teaching Assistant you will ha ve o ngoing training opportunities supporting your career aspirations including training in Attachment Informed Approaches (Dyadic Developmental Practice) and further development training on our therapeutic approaches.
