Job descriptionAre you passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs? Are you looking for a short term or long-term position with weekends and school holidays off? Would you be interested in a £83.40 to £96.40 daily rate of pay? Are you looking for the opportunity to gain new skills and development? Do you live in the Tonypandy area?
We are currently recruiting for a special educational needs teaching assistant based in the Tonypandy area. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience and an in-depth understanding of working with children who have severe learning difficulties. Any additional qualifications or knowledge is most definitely desirable but is not essential.
Requirements
- A highly enthusiastic and motivational individual.
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
- The ability to remain calm when faced with pressured situations.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Confident in being able to work on a 1 : 1 basis or in a small group with children with a range of different needs.
- Support pupils with their physical and personal care needs.
- Be able to promote a positive environment ensuring an inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Encourage and promote positive behaviour alongside positive relationships with students, parents, and carers.
- Promote independence and care where required.
