Workforce Personnel are seeking compassionate and experienced Care Workers to join our dedicated team, providing support to a variety of local residential and nursing homes in Bedfordshire and Central Bedfordshire. As a Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable people with a range of needs, this includes but not limited to, learning disabilities, mental health and elderly people. Manual handling and personal care will play a huge part of the role while you aid in improving the quality of life for residents by offering personal care, social and emotional support, and ensuring their comfort and well-being.Key Responsibilities of a Care Worker :
- Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Support residents with medication management, following care plans and guidelines.
- Encourage and assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ health or behaviour to senior staff.
- Ensure that all care records are accurate, up-to-date, and confidential.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents at all times.
- Assist in recreational activities and social engagement for residents.Requirements :
- Previous experience working in a care enviroment as a Care Assistant or Support Worker for a minimum of six months in the Uk.
- A genuine passion for providing care and support to vulnerable individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Skilled in following directions
- Excellent writing proficiency
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
