Job description

Workforce Personnel are seeking compassionate and experienced Care Workers to join our dedicated team, providing support to a variety of local residential and nursing homes in Bedfordshire and Central Bedfordshire. As a Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable people with a range of needs, this includes but not limited to, learning disabilities, mental health and elderly people. Manual handling and personal care will play a huge part of the role while you aid in improving the quality of life for residents by offering personal care, social and emotional support, and ensuring their comfort and well-being.Key Responsibilities of a Care Worker :

  • Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Support residents with medication management, following care plans and guidelines.
  • Encourage and assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents’ health or behaviour to senior staff.
  • Ensure that all care records are accurate, up-to-date, and confidential.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents at all times.
  • Assist in recreational activities and social engagement for residents.Requirements :
  • Previous experience working in a care enviroment as a Care Assistant or Support Worker for a minimum of six months in the Uk.
  • A genuine passion for providing care and support to vulnerable individuals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Skilled in following directions
  • Excellent writing proficiency
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Willingness to conduct mandatory training as a Care Assistant / Support Worker.Shifts Include :
