Mental Health Support Coordinator
North Tyneside Area, North Shields and community based.
Permanent full time (37.5 hours per week)
Pay £12.61 per hour (£24,664 per annum) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator)
- Creating support plans with your customers and Working closely with Social workers, CPN / community treatment team, probation and North Tyneside Recovery partnership to ensure we have the best wrap around support for the customer.
- We help our customers with a little bit of everything.This includes enabling out into the community, prompting with medication, supporting with their finances, helping with their benefits and much, much more!
- Customer group - We support our brilliant customers with their mental health, learning disabilities, substance misuse, forensic history and dual diagnosis.
- Our customers are all under 117 aftercare which is to help customers who have been sectioned under section 3, 37,45A, 47 or 48 of the Mental Health Act 1983 at any time in their lives live independently in the community.
- Supporting customers with daily living activities such as, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
- Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
- Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to collaborate with colleagues too.

You bring
Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working collaboratively with an eye for detail.Experience of creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues in working to work to the plans.Experience of coordinating and assessing customer referrals.The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approachTo get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. Job details
Working in the North Tyneside area, the office is based at Railway Terrace North Shields, you will be working with customers out in the community at their homes and in the office.Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.Working on a rota usually covering alternative weekends, the hours are 8am till 8pm. The team work on 2 patterns one week you will work Mon, Tue,8am till 8pm Sat and Sun 8-7pm and the next week you will work Wed, Thu, and Fri 8am-8pm.Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.A place where you belong
