Vehicle Technician - 4-Week Temporary Contract

Location : South Shields

Start Date : Immediate

Pay : £16 per hour

Contract Length : 4 weeks

Hours : 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri 9 : 00am-5 : 30pm, plus 2 Saturday mornings per month 9 : 00am-1 : 00pm)

We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Vehicle Technician to support our workshop on a 4-week temporary basis . This is a great short-term opportunity for a technician who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

Ideally City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualified - applicants with proven experience also considered

Full UK driving licence required

MOT Tester qualification preferred (training can be provided)

Experience with hybrid and electric vehicles is beneficial

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment

Repair and replace components using genuine or OEM parts

Perform routine servicing and maintenance to dealer specifications

Carry out road tests to confirm repair effectiveness

Communicate technical issues clearly and effectively

Keep accurate records of all work completed

Prepare vehicles for MOT testing

Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Take part in training courses (e.g. BOSCH, MOT) as required
