What Are We Looking For?Our Chemical and Biological team is looking for a Plastic Pipefitter to join our Darlington office on a permanent basis. You will be joining a team that is experienced, working on water projects across the UK.Please note this position will require flexibility on working location, with accommodation provided by RSE. Some of Your Key Duties Include : Fabricate pipework from customer samples and / or engineer’s drawings to client & industry specifications.Undertake maintenance / repair work in existing pipework systemsLay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating and other process piping systemsSafe use of hand tools, machinery and other equipmentAssist other disciplines when requiredAccurately record man-hoursCarry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder’s appropriate skill setOpportunities to work both within our local fabrication workshop and remotely as part of our site installation teams pan UK.What Do You Need?Time served and fully qualified with experience within the fabrication / engineering industryThe ability to operate a range of metal forming machines, including, Grinders, Pipe Benders, Die EquipmentDemonstrate a clear understanding of the sequence of events required to fabricate and form pipe work, and manifolds including site run of pipework without drawingsPossession of MSRA, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, and Asbestos awareness certificates is preferred but not essential.
