This vital role offers the opportunity to be the first point of contact and a key support during challenging times.

About Us :

Our academy is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive transition for pupils and their families during the difficult period following exclusion. As a Part-Time Off-Site IPT Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring pupils feel supported and valued while introducing them to our academy and its ethos.

The Role :

In this specialist role, you will work closely with pupils and their families off-site, providing guidance, support, and a positive first impression of our academy. Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Initial Engagement : Serve as the first point of contact for pupils and families following PEX, establishing trust and understanding their immediate needs.
  • Specialist Support : Work with pupils in their homes or other agreed locations to provide interim educational and emotional support until they transition to our site.
  • Caseload Management : Adapt to a frequently changing caseload as pupils are referred daily, ensuring timely and effective support for all new referrals.
  • Parental Support : Assist families during this challenging time, offering reassurance and introducing them to the academy’s approach and resources.
  • Collaboration : Liaise with the wider team to ensure a smooth and positive transition for pupils to the academy site.

Requirements :

  • Experience in supporting students and families during transitions or challenging times, particularly in education or related fields.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to manage a changing caseload effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with pupils, families, and academy staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all pupils.
  • Benefits :

  • A competitive daily rate of £100-£130.
  • Flexible part-time role with immediate start.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training.
  • The chance to make a lasting impact on pupils and their families during critical moments.
  • Please Note : This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. All successful applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check.
