As a Communications and PR Manager, you will be responsible for :
Developing and implementing a comprehensive communications and PR strategy that aligns with the company’s vision and valuesCreating, managing and approving a variety of content, including press releases, newsletters, blogs and thought leadership Op-edsBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with key media outlets, franchise owners, partners, and stakeholdersPolitical campaigning for sector changeRaise brand profile through gaining positive media coverage both locally and nationallyDeveloping and managing all key messages and briefing documents for internal projects and media interviewsResponding to and managing all reviews across multiple platformsEnsure all materials present a clear, consistent, and positive image for the brandKeeping up to date with relevant, timely and topical sector news and government reforms and advising the senior team accordinglyWriting compelling award entriesPrepare social media content for CEO and DirectorsWork in partnership with external agencies, designers and other third parties depending on projects.Manage all media enquiries, schedule interviews and offer interview coaching to members of the network where requiredStructure, manage and issue crisis communication when requiredMonitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the communications and PR activities and reporting on the results and outcomesDesign and deliver a range of training sessions specifically around communication and PR topics to members of our franchise networkProofing and final sign off of a wide range of internal and external communication, content and materialsProvide internal communications and culture support for a wide range of initiatives, events and time sensitive change management piecesManaging the communications and PR budget and resourcesResponsible for managing our growing offline marketing teamOccasional travel will be required across our UK franchise network to provide in person support via coaching and / or workshops. Attendance to our annual conference and stakeholder meetings with delivery partners will also be required. Travel and accommodation will be fully expensedTo be successful in this role, you will need :
A qualification in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related fieldAt least 5 years of proven experience in communications and PRProven ability to propel a company’s image through targeted messaging and a multi layered strategy, with current, strong media contactsWorld class written and verbal communication skillsA creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to produce high-quality content that engages and inspires the target audienceA strong knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in communications and PR, including digital and social media platformsA strategic and analytical thinker, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate communications and PR campaignsA collaborative and team-oriented attitude, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholdersA proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and under pressureFor further details or to discuss the role, please contact David O’Brien on 0151 305 0752.
