- Lead the ongoing development of the UK tax function (to include new hire(s) where required) ensuring robust tax systems and controls

- Maintain and enhance procedures and controls to comply with SAO provisions
- Responsibility for direct tax compliance obligations (including Lloyd’s and US GAAP tax reporting)
- Identification and management of tax automation initiatives
- Assess, document, and manage uncertain tax positions and related tax risks associated with the UK operations
- Advise on the tax implications of potential acquisitions, disposals, expansion, and similar projects
- Proactively monitor and interpret the impact of UK and international tax developments of relevance to the UK operations
- Design and lead the implementation of functional, transactional, or legal entity restructuring as required
- Participate in / lead cross-specialty projects (Tax / Legal / Regulatory)
- Manage transfer pricing and DPT as it relates to UK operations
- Manage the ongoing development of tax policy including ESG related tax policy
- Tax authority relationship management and dispute resolution
- Communicate proactively with key stakeholders in the business, the UK CFO, the Global Head of Tax and external advisors.

Qualifications
Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or similarBachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or similar) from an accredited college / universityExperience
Minimum five years international tax experience in industry and / or in a public accounting firmUK tax experience essential and international tax experience an advantageExperience and knowledge of tax reporting within the framework of U.S. GAAP and / or IFRS financial reporting is preferredInsurance industry experience preferred
