We are currently seeking a Data Migration Specialist to come and join the business to develop a new team within our Central Claims area.

About the role

This is an Insurance industry client-facing role for which you will be responsible for all aspects of the M&A, client portfolio onboarding and general data migration work stream. You will frequently be working on concurrent projects for our different international / cross-border clients. For smaller projects you may be working alone, whilst for others you would be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams across our global footprint.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for delivering the entire M&A, client portfolio onboarding and general data-migration lifecycle for all types of data migration projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define bespoke database and IT requirements, configure systems and ensure a successful transition.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and mapping for successful migration.
  • Analyse data quality and integrity, implementing measures to cleanse and validate data as needed.
  • Identify gaps between source applications (either through experience and / or the data) and the target product, flagging these to the Product Owners.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive and meticulous documentation for data migration processes, ensuring transparency and knowledge transfer.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of data migration activities.
  • Record, track and troubleshoot issues and provide issue resolution and alternative solution paths.
  • Define / measure success criteria by working with all parties on validation techniques such as the testing of migrated data and reconciliations.

About you

  • Good understanding of London Insurance Market, Claims Management & Adjusting.
  • Previous experience of successful data migration (preferably in the London Insurance Market - although not essential).
  • Proficient in data mapping, transformation, and validation processes.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of the data collection and reporting required for Insurance and Adjusting.
  • Experience of dealing with end users and technical support teams.
  • Good organisation change management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
