Mechanical Design Engineer

ROLE- Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION- Wiltshire TERM- Permanent SALARY- £35,000 - £50,000, dependent on experience  My client is a specialist manufacturer in the Defence industry. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Wiltshire on a permanent basis.     The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes :

• At least 2-5 years’ experience in a similar Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering position in a manufacturing environment
• HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Ideally experienced working with engines, machinery, conveyors, mechatronics and other equipment with moving parts and systems
• Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor etc.
• Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
• Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
