About therole
As a Control& Instrumentation Engineer, you’ll be safely delivering control system andinstrumentation aspects of plant improvement projects at Drax Power Station. Thiswill involve maintaining and improving the existing control systems andnetworks implementing security measures against cyber-attack.
The rolewill challenge your technical ability, problem solving and communication skillsand will contribute to the delivery of flexible, renewable energy on site.
We’reseeking someone to develop into a subject matter expert in cyber-security basedprojects with a particular focus on NIS regulation and IEC62443 adoption.
Who we’relooking for
You’ll have aminimum of a HND in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical / ElectronicEngineering or Software Engineering. This will be coupled with a previousexperience working in a technical role in either an electrical or control andinstrumentation discipline.
Ideally, you’ll also have experiencewith plant-based control systems and instrumentation design and installation.
Knowledge of NIS regulations and IEC62443 is desirable.
The role comeswith a lot of project delivery, so alongside the technical expertise, you’ll bean accomplished project manager and enjoy delivering critical projects andmanaging a dynamic workload.
Alongsidetechnical skills, you’ll demonstrate a keen willingness to learn. You’ll havegreat analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with the ability tocommunicate across all levels. You’ll need to be a champion of safety andensure that all environmental and housekeeping duties are carried out to a highstandard.
