About the role
In the role of Electrical Works Manager at Historic Environment Scotland, you'll have the unique opportunity to manage and contribute to the constant programme of works and maintenance on historic buildings, based at one of Scotland’s most premier sites. You will work closely with a diverse team of professionals, including the M&EE Estate lead, District Architect, Structural engineers, Quantity surveyors, and the Health and Safety team along with the site-based trades consisting of Stonemasons, Joiners and painters.
Your key objectives will include overseeing the daily deployment of our 2 dedicated Monument Electricians along with the supervision of any external Electrical contractors when they are required and on site, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and conservation at Stirling Castle and surrounding sites. You'll be responsible for planning works, ordering materials, ensuring relevant Electrical documents are attained and implementing health and safety policies, ensuring our historic sites are preserved for future generations.
