  • Deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development, and care for children aged 0-5 years.
  • Support the Room Manager with the daily running of the room.
  • Ensure the room and resources are safe and appropriate for children, staff, and visitors.
  • Develop partnerships with parents / carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.
  • Act as a key person by observing, assessing, and planning for each individual child.Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively as part of the team within your room and the wider nursery setting.
  • Support the Room Manager with the effective daily running of the room.
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Act as an excellent role model for the staff team and children.
  • Take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety, and security practices within the nursery.
  • Assist in planning and providing appropriate daily activities in line with EYFS guidance for your key children.
  • Uphold the highest level of safeguarding practices, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct observation, assessment, and planning for your key children, ensuring they are making progress.
  • Collaborate with outside professionals when required.
  • Build trusting relationships with parents and families.Qualifications (Essential)
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Sector.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths, Grade A-C.
  • Paediatric First Aid (if the qualification was obtained after 2016).Relevant Experience and Skills (Essential)
  • Experience working in a nursery or similar environment.
  • Previous experience as a key person.
  • Some knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Experience working effectively in a team
