Job Family : Engineering

As the Materials and Corrosion Engineer (Senior or Principal), you will have direct responsibility for the delivery of Engineering Deliverables including; selection of safe and cost-effective material solutions, development and guidance of internal test programmes, resolution of Client queries and technical issues, for Catalyst Technologies Licensed projects and associated R&D.

Your responsibilities :

• Direct responsibility for delivery of Materials and Corrosion deliverables for allocated licensing and R&D projects.
• Lead selection of suitable cost-effective materials of construction for allocated projects in a timely manner and with due regard to safety and company reputation.
• Review and update of material specifications for proprietary equipment and licensed technologies.
• Review and advise on manufacturing procedures including material production, welding, fabrication, subsequent treatments, and NDT techniques.
• Lead / consult on material failure investigations and material testing programmes.
• Provide authoritative technical guidance to internal / external customers and equipment suppliers within areas of responsibility.
• Undertake materials and corrosion related consultancy work for JM clients or potential clients as required.
• Ensure JM health, safety, environmental and quality procedures are followed and that a high standard of safety is achieved in all associated work.
• Remain up to date with the latest technical developments in your fields of expertise.
