SEN Teacher

We are recruiting on behalf of an SEMH specialist school in Sunderland and are looking for a compassionate , highly skilled and empathetic SEN Teacher experienced in Additional Needs Teaching . As an SEN Teacher, you will be integral to ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the tailored support they need to succeed.

Duties include

• Progress Monitoring : Regularly assess student progress and provide insightful feedback to parents and colleagues to support their academic growth.
• Planning and preparing lessons of the highest standards
• Emotional Support : Foster a nurturing and secure environment, offering emotional guidance and encouragement to students in need.
• Communication : Ensure effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each students educational journey.
• Inclusion : Advocate for inclusivity within the school community, ensuring that students with special educational needs feel a sense of belonging and support.
• Management and direction of a team on support assistants within your classroom
