Job description

The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over , vehicles per day and its a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.

Weve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and are looking for a Security Officer to work as part of the wider security Operative team undertaking duties within the security office, security patrols and marshalling.

Key responsibilities :

• Monitor and operate security CCTV systems.
• Support the transport of cyclists across the River Crossing.
• Patrol and audit the network and Depots on foot and in a vehicle.
• Respond to all security related incidents.
• Manage the issue of keys.
• Manage the issue of contractor permits.
• Accurately maintain security procedure audit trails.
• Ensure all security policies and procedures are robustly applied.
• Support the Security Office Administrator.
• Any other duties, commensurate with the position, as required by the Security Manager.
• Marshal all vehicles coming into the KMA (Kent Marshalling Area).
• Process Dangerous Goods Vehicles.
• Liaise with DVSA and the emergency services.
• Monitor Forward Tanker bay.
• Prepare KMA as Emergency Services RVP if required.
• Follow and act on directions from Control Room Manager in relation to movement of vehicles from the KMA.
