Science Teacher – Secondary SEMH School

A highly regarded Secondary SEMH School in Eastleigh is seeking a qualified and experienced Science Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position later in the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a small school with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality education and support to pupils with social and emotional mental health needs.

Position Overview :

  • Role :  Science Teacher (GCSE Level)
  • Location :  Secondary SEMH School, Eastleigh
  • Contract Type :  Temporary, with potential for a permanent role later in the academic year
  • Start Date :  Immediate, following safer vetting checks
  • Employment Through :  Teaching Personnel

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver engaging and effective GCSE Science lessons, tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH
  • Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning needs and promote positive outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the school's team to provide a supportive and structured learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring each pupil is supported to achieve their full potential

    • Requirements :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
  • Experience teaching GCSE Science
  • Prior experience working with students with special educational needs in a teaching or support role
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of SEND pupils

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
