Senior Waste Manager

Senior Waste Manager with experience in radioactive characterisation to include DQO (Data Quality Objectives) experience. The role will directly report to the Head of Waste and will be key in providing project management waste support throughout WES UK on a variety of projects.

Location : Harwell

Contract : 18months initial + extension (inside ir35)

Section 2 : Key Responsibilities :

Radioactive waste management experience across the waste management lifecycle from strategy development through to characterisation and waste routing / disposal.

Lead on the production of characterisation plans for projects including decommissioning.

Lead on DQO strategy and train others in its application.

Advise on waste management and routing whilst applying proportionality to the strategy to include decisions on waste packages, treatments (including conditioning) and disposals.

Participate in optioneering assessments.

Produce technical reports with justifiable arguments to underpin strategy decisions.

Advise on appropriate waste assay methods to include setting of clearance levels.

Able to prioritise and manage own workload and work concurrently on several projects.
