I am looking for a Personal Assistant / Carer to join my support team. Ideally you will have experience of supporting someone with epilepsy, autism and learning disability, and promoting independence.

I am very sociable but can also get overwhelmed in new situations and with new people. I don’t like to be rushed, I like to be spoken to kindly and you may need to repeat instructions to me.

I love visiting pubs, cafes, theatres and going to concerts. I need to be encouraged to go and exercise and I do like routine. I like to travel on the bus and I like overnight respite breaks with my PAs.

I love to watch TV, listen to music, cook, play tennis and badminton, and walk around the park. I love arts, crafts and drama.

Listen to me and explain things calmly to me, as I find it difficult to listen and take on board what is being said to me

You will receive :

  • 12.01 per hour
  • A pension if applicable
  • 5.6 weeks per year pro rata annual leave
  • Full certificated training on all aspects of the role

Hours available :

  • Up to 20 hours per week
  • There is the opportunity to work additional hours on occasions in relation to holidays and sickness
  • What’s Required :

  • Provide assistance with all aspects of personal care
  • Flexibility in working hours essential, as support is required over a 24 hour period
  • Previous experience of 1 : 1 support, even better if this includes managing epilepsy!
  • Full and clean driving licence
  • An enhanced DBS check, the cost will be met by the Employer
