Works Shop Manager – Permanent - ShrewsburyL & C Consulting are recruiting on behalf of a small, but rapidly growing, privately owned, Engineering specialist on the outskirts of Shrewsbury for an experienced Work Shop / Maintenance Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Working days, Mon – Fri.Managing a small team of workshop staff, duties will include (but not be limited to) : All areas of daily management including

• Day to day workshop management
• Manage vehicle and equipment maintenance including PPM scheduling, test and pre-use checks as well as reactive repair
• Stock control
• Parts management and procurement
• Assisting in hands on repair as appropriate
• Liaising with & managing external service engineersExperience of managing staff within engineering / maintenance is essential to be considered for this role, ideally in general or agricultural engineering. Practical, hands on experience is also essential.You’ll also need to be IT literate and have experience of managing an engineering stores environment.
