What you’ll do

  • Lead a small team of engineers, including PCB layout and mechanical engineers, to ensure our products are managed and maintained for optimum performance.
  • Reduce supply chain risks, optimise manufacturing processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives including improvements in product sustainability.
  • Ensure that every project undergoes meticulous assessment and project management.
  • Rigorously assess components for durability to meet the highest standards of cost-effectiveness, quality, and robustness.
  • Use data analysis to help deliver superior, sustainable products that meet and exceed industry and regulatory standards.

What you’ll need

  • HNC or Degree in mechanical or electronic engineering, or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in electronic product design and development.
  • A strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Understanding of quality, reliability, and risk assessment procedures.
  • Good organisation skills, entrepreneurship, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of Injection moulded components and electronic circuit board design and production.
  • Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., SIL, ATEX etc).
  • Exposure to fire / gas detection, instrumentation or at some involvement in a high volume, heavily regulated industry.
