Technical Sales Estimator

Permanent Position Competitive Salary - DOE Free Onsite Parking 07 : 45 – 16 : 30 Monday to Thursday 07 : 45 – 12 : 15 Friday  I am currently working with an sub-contract engineering business in Redditch, who are now recruiting for an Estimator to join their existing team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Estimator will come from a technical background in either engineering or manufacturing who can operate in a commercial role to estimate new enquiries and assist the team.  The main requirements of the Estimator will be to :

• Interpret customers’ requirements from specifications and drawings.
• Using software to create quotations and price proposals.
• Liaise with suppliers for material and sub-contract costs.
• Deal with client's technical questions with support from the company's manufacturing engineers.
• Promote the business and follow up on enquiries to maximise new business opportunities.
• Following up existing enquiries to encourage feedback from our customers.
• Liaising with the engineering, production, and quality staff to ensure the customer’s specific requirements are communicated to staff in all departments.

The ideal candidate for the Estimator will have :

• Good understanding of manufacturing principles.
