Position : 1 : 1 Teaching Assistant

Location : Wirral

Key Responsibilities : 1 : 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Assisting in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the SENCo.
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Observing and recording student progress, contributing to progress reports and parent-teacher meetings.
  • Supporting students in developing essential social and life skills.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
