Job description

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and driven Associate MRICS Quantity Surveyor to join the London office. The successful candidate will lead high-profile projects, mentor a team of surveyors, and contribute to business development activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to step into a senior leadership role while working on some of the UK’s most exciting projects.Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership : Manage the cost and commercial aspects of complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Cost Management : Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies, ensuring projects are delivered within financial parameters.
  • Client Liaison : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing strategic advice and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Team Management : Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Contract Administration : Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, including NEC and JCT forms.
  • Risk Management : Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring robust cost control and governance.
  • Business Development : Actively participate in networking, client presentations, and proposal preparation to secure new business opportunities.Skills & Experience
  • Qualifications : Chartered MRICS status is essential.
  • Experience :
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects across sectors.
  • Knowledge : Comprehensive understanding of construction cost management and procurement strategies.
  • Skills :
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
