Andy File Associates Ltd are acting exclusively as a recruitment agency with regards this permanent position on behalf of our client AAG IT Services Ltd.Job DescriptionJob Role : IT Delivery Team LeaderReports to : IT Operations ManagerOverview : The primary focus of this role is to lead and be Accountable for the IT Delivery Team within AAG. This role is for an IT engineer who has experience in implementing IT projects, particularly cloud infrastructure and Microsoft products and services and would like to continue with implementing technical solutions. The work which falls under this team’s remit includes projects, other implementations not deemed large enough for full project management, client onsite visits, and on-boarding of new clients. The role requires solid technical know-how and the ability to articulate recommendations simply and effectively to all stakeholders.In addition to implementing projects and other work, the Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of six on a day-to-day basis. This includes managing the workload of both their own and their team, and ensuring obstacles are removed to allow the engineers to achieve their tasks. The Team Leader will plan and provide technical guidance and support to the engineers to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of all projects and other work and guarantee customer satisfaction. They will also identify smarter ways of working through post-project and ticket analysis and new technologies and ensure all projects are smoothly transitioned to the Service Desk for ongoing support.It is essential that this person has excellent organisation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction through effective delivery of your own and your team’s projects and other work to the agreed cost, time, scope, quality, and security constraints.
  • Lead the team and provide technical assistance and support.
  • Establish regular, clear, and consistent channels of communication at all levels within the organisation., setting clear expectations throughout
  • Contributing to department / business improvement of knowledge
  • Responsibility for driving continuous improvement of project management processes and practices.
  • Oversee the work of new client onboardings; utilising appropriate resource to gather technical information.
  • Provide project reporting and communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage customer relationships to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide weekly and monthly project pipeline / utilisation data to support effective business decisions.
  • It is expected that planning resources and running the various internal meetings for this team will account for around 1 to 1.5 days per weekSkills required :
  • Excellent time management skills to manage and organise a team and its workload to achieve company goals
  • Ability to manage conflict and make informed decisions by analysing information and by understanding commercial impact on both the client and AAG
  • Problem-Solving : Anticipating challenges and developing solutions to keep the project on track
  • Previous experience as a project engineer and / or project manager essential.
  • Communication : Clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server, Virtual environments including VMWare, SQL Server, entire Microsoft stack, Networking LAN, WAN VPN and Wireless, Active Directory, Antivirus.
  • Microsoft Azure IaaS
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and work calmly under pressure with an organised and methodical approach to tasks being flexible and open to change as projects evolve
  • Relevant and current experience working in an IT Engineering background.
  • Exceptional team working skills.
  • A recognised qualification in project / programme management such as Prince 2 or APM is desirable but not essential.
  • The ability and desire to develop the role and make it your own.
