Quality Controller Day Shift - Fresh Produce

Location of the Job :

Harlow, Essex (Own transport required due to location).

Salary & Benefits Package :

• 24,336pa (£12 / hr) Payable weekly
• Free parking on-site.
• Free fresh produce (when available).
• 28 days holiday (including public holidays).
• Sick pay.

Schedule :

• 39 Hours per week
• Day shift : 07.30 to 16.30 OR 00 to 17.00
• Monday to Sunday 5 days out of 7, including 1 flexible weekend day.

• This is a permanent, full-time position.

Quality Controller - The Job Role Details :

We are looking for a motivated Quality Control Professional to join a dynamic team in the fresh produce industry, specifically salad items.

The role is based in a modern facility and the successful candidate will work closely with the Quality Control Supervisor, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and product quality.

Quality Controller - Key Responsibilities :

• Assist with audits in all production and packhouse areas.
• Perform final product checks before dispatch to customers.
• Collect samples for shelf-life testing and ensure compliance with hygiene standards, including pest management.
• Monitor and ensure production clean-downs meet allergen and hygiene standards.
• Maintain accurate records and complete compliance paperwork.

Quality Controller - The Ideal Candidate :

You will have :

• Experience : Minimum 2 years in food manufacturing (fresh produce preferred).
• Knowledge : HACCP and internal auditing processes.
• Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong attention to detail.
• Attributes : Respectful, approachable, and a team player with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

Essential Requirements :

• A valid UK driver's license (essential due to location).
• Right to work in the UK (18 months minimum visa if applicable).
