Tax Accountant - Tunbridge Wells

A well-established and reputable accounting practice is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join their team in Tunbridge Wells . This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, driven individual who is CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) qualified and has experience across a broad range of tax areas.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide expert tax advice across various tax areas, including income tax, corporate tax, inheritance tax, estate planning, and capital gains tax.
  • Assist colleagues with tax queries for a diverse client portfolio, including individuals, small businesses, and corporate clients.
  • Prepare and review tax computations, tax returns, and supporting documents in line with deadlines and tax regulations.
  • Offer tax planning and advisory services to clients to optimise their tax positions.
  • Research complex tax issues and provide practical, solutions-driven advice.
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, responding to enquiries and resolving disputes.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation to ensure clients' affairs are compliant.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on technical and procedural matters.
  • Support restructuring of corporate groups.

Key Requirements :

  • CTA qualification or significant high-level practical experience across all areas of tax.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in a practice environment, with expertise in UK tax legislation, tax planning, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.

  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience.
