Job description

Job Title : English and Maths KS3 Intervention Tutor

Location :

East of England, Essex, Clacton-on-Sea

Job Type :

Temporary, Part-Time hours

Primary Industry :

Education and Training

Salary : 20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties :

  • Provide targeted intervention and support for Key Stage 3 students in English and Maths
  • Create bespoke learning plans to address individual student needs and improve academic performance
  • Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions to enhance student understanding and confidence
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a coordinated approach to student development

Required Qualifications :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Education :

    Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

    Experience :

    Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role

    Knowledge and Skills :

  • Thorough understanding of the Key Stage 3 curriculum in English and Maths
  • Ability to tailor teaching approaches to meet individual student needs
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Experience in delivering intervention programmes
  • Working Conditions :

  • Part-time hours with flexible scheduling
  • Work primarily in a learners home or local community

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
