Unit Manager - Supported Housing 38K-41k depending on experience.
We have an exciting new opportunity for a leader with extensive experience in delivering high quality supported housing services to join our team at Dinardo Care & Support Ltd.
Dinardo Care and Support - support people to support themselves. We are an exempt supported housing provider who specialise in high standard accommodation and living services for vulnerable adults suffering from mental health conditions and other complex needs. We believe the success of Dinardo Care and Supports is based on our dynamic, innovative, and pro-active approach to delivering high quality services, and our constant review of those services to maintain and improve the services that we provide. Due to ongoing expansion, we have an exciting opportunity to extend our existing operations in Southwark.
About the role :
As a Unit Manager you would provide a crucial role in both building and expanding the service and a focused team who align with Dinardo's vision and values. Dinardo Care and Supports Ltd aim to put the targeted outcomes of our residents at the heart of everything we do, and you will share the same ethos. Reporting to the Head of Operations and Head of Community Services the main responsibilities of the role will be :
O To ensure a comprehensive support service is provided to the residents of the supported accommodation unit.
O To lead the team to ensure that a safe and effective support provision is maintained to continuously meet the needs of our residents.
O To ensure that high quality support is provided in line with residents' individual assessed needs and that this remains person-centred
O To ensure that all residents and staff are treated with equal respect, kindness and courtesy at all times and their dignity is maintained. T
O o ensure that all staff are provided with the appropriate support, guidance, training and supervision necessary to carry out their duties in a responsive and responsible manner.
O To maintain effective communication with all stakeholders including the management and business support teams, family members and external stakeholders e.g. Primary Care Services, Mental Health Teams
About you :
Previous experience in a supported accommodation setting
Good written skills in order to produce accurate, factual reports
Proficient IT skills
Ability to communicate at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
Willingness to undergo training to enhance your own personal development and your team's.
Able to set priorities and boundaries
Understanding and proactive in promoting equal opportunities - able to challenge discrimination at all levels.
Be empathic and understanding to the needs of residents at all times
Knowledge of adult safeguarding and protection of vulnerable adults.
Understanding of mental health conditions, complex needs and substance misuse
