Job Advert : HLTA / Cover Supervisor – PPA Cover - Primary School, Dulwich South East London

Teaching Personnel  is excited to recruit a passionate and experienced  Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Cover Supervisor  for a welcoming primary school in  Dulwich, South East London . This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment and play a key role in covering PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time during the  Summer Term .

Position :  HLTA / Cover Supervisor PPA Cover

Location :  Dulwich, South East London

Contract Type :  Full-time, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)

Hours :  8 : 30am – 3 : 30pm daily

Start Date :  22nd April 2025

Duration :  Summer Term (with potential for extension)

About the Role :

As an HLTA / Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading classes across various year groups, ensuring continuity of learning during teachers’ PPA time. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and support pupils’ academic and personal development. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about making a positive impact on young learners.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with teachers’ plans.

Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

Support pupils’ learning and provide feedback to teachers on progress.

Adapt to different year groups and subjects as required.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

Requirements :

Proven experience leading a class as an HLTA, Cover Supervisor, or in a similar role.

Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom management strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and adapt to different teaching styles.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., HLTA status, Teaching Assistant Level 3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
