60.63 PH PAYE or £80.00 PH UmbrellaOverviewAs a Human Factors Specialist supporting the TRINITY programme, you will report to the Lead HFI Specialist and assist them in delivering User-Centred Design activities. This could include : assessing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf equipment against system requirements / user needs; engaging with users to understand their goals and tasks; conducting detailed analyses to understand cognitive workload and human error; anthropometric assessment and workspace / workstation design; working with other engineering functions and disciplines to support their tasks.ResponsibilitiesSupport Vigilant lead HFI specialist in the conduct of human factors activities and integration of HF into the TRINITY designWork with end user groups and HF stakeholders in workshops, trials and User-Centred Design activitiesConduct analyses such as allocation of function, task analysis and usability assessmentAssess prototypes / mock-ups of TRINITY hardware and software solutionsProduce reports and input to customer deliverables.Skillset requiredA recognised degree or equivalent qualification in Human Factors, Ergonomics or PsychologyRegistered membership of the Chartered Institute of Human Factors (or eligibility for CIEHF Chartership via an equivalent body)At least five years' proven ability of applying Human Factors methods in defence or safety-critical industryProven ability of working within a multi-disciplinary team on complex system integration and development projects
