Job Vacancy : Science Cover Teacher (Long-Term Sickness Cover)Location : L25 (South Liverpool) Position : Science Cover Teacher Contract Type : Long-Term Sickness Cover Start Date : ASAP Salary : To scale Full-time / Part-time : Full-timeWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Science Teacher to cover a long-term sickness absence at a well-established secondary school and sixth form in L25, South Liverpool.Key Responsibilities : Delivering high-quality Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring full engagement and student progress.Managing classroom behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.Preparing and marking assignments, tests, and exams in line with the school's assessment policies.Tracking and reporting on student progress and providing feedback to both students and parents.Collaborating with the science department and other staff to ensure a seamless teaching experience.Ensuring that all safeguarding and health and safety policies are adhered to within the classroom.Essential Qualifications and Skills : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.A degree in Science or a related subject.Previous experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.Excellent classroom management skills.Strong knowledge of the art curriculum and examination requirements (e.g., GCSE and BTEC).Have the legal right to work in the UK.Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references including your most recent emp...
