7.5 TONNE DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY : VARIOUS START TIMES

45 HOURS PER WEEK

13.46 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in the Tamworth area.

Rates of Pay

  • Basic : £13.46 per hour

    • Day to Day Duties

    Your duties as a 7.5 Tonne Driver will involve but not be limited to :

  • Multi drop deliveries of up to between 17 and 23 drops per day.
  • Deliveries are made using pump truck and sack barrel, all stock is palletised (multiple customers on one pallet)
  • Drivers are required to break down the pallets and deliver inside customer premises. Not doorstep deliveries.
  • Ensure that the Company vehicle allocated is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition, documenting appropriate checks and reporting any faults immediately.
  • Ensure duties are carried out within legal requirements.
  • Ensure all scheduled deliveries and collections are completed on time, in full on a daily basis.
  • Deliver to customers as directed and assist with unloading and taking to final delivery point as requested. Report any problems with delivery sites.
  • Ensure that all POD paperwork is correct and signed for either on paper or electronically using Microlise device.
  • Present a professional image to the customer, be pleasant and comply with company dress requirements.

    • As a 7.5 Tonne Driver you will need to have :

  • Valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Satisfactory driving record
  • Maximum of six penalty points on your Licence
  • Knowledge of East Midlands area preferred
  • Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills

    • Desirable Experience

  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
  • Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial

    • Training

  • Driver's Assessment must be completed prior to starting
  • Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
