As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for generating bearing designs, as well as associated documentation in support of pre and post customer contracts. You will also be involved in Michell Bearings research and development activities.

To apply, you must be educated to HNC level or equivalent in mechanical engineering with a strong background in mechanical design and the ability to demonstrate knowledge of strength of materials. We also ask that you have experience of designing castings, fabrications, and precision machined, close-tolerance, turned and milled components. Familiarity with international standards or directives related to the design and testing of products for use in naval, nuclear, and hazardous area applications would be beneficial.
Were looking for someone who has excellent 3D CAD modelling and 2D technical drawing skills (preferably Creo or Pro / Engineer). An understanding of MathCAD, Windchill, and Microsoft Office applications is desirable.
This position will be on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours a week onsite.
