Working Foremen required OXFORDPermanent roleThe Role : As Foreperson, you’ll be at the heart of our on-site operations, overseeing high-quality painting and refurbishment projects. You’ll be responsible for managing teams, ensuring work meets the highest standards, and maintaining a strong focus on health and safety. From mentoring apprentices to liaising with clients and contractors, you’ll lead by example and ensure smooth project delivery.Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage a team of skilled tradespeople, delivering exceptional painting, plastering, and roofline works.
- Ensure projects are completed to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
- Liaise with Contract Managers and Surveyors to track progress and address any issues.
- Manage site safety and health practices, delivering Toolbox Talks and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Order materials, monitor waste, and help keep projects running efficiently.
- Mentor team members and train future Forepersons and Apprentices.
- Complete weekly / monthly paperwork and ensure accurate reporting of job completion.What We’re Looking For :
- Proven experience in a lead role within the painting and or refurbishment sector, especially in social housing.
- Strong technical knowledge of painting, refurbishment or plastering.
- A valid CSCS card and ability to work at heights.
