Position : Payroll Assistant (6-Month Fixed Term Contract Initially) Location : Sherborne, Dorset Salary : £26,325 per annum Hours : 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
About the Role : Our client, a prestigious institution, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join their friendly and focused accounts department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment with the potential for the position to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide payroll support for approximately 1000 employees on a monthly basis.
- Work closely with the Payroll Administrator to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Process salaries for company employees.
- Ensure correct deductions and remittances for PAYE, NI, pensions, and other charges.
- Reconcile payroll-related control accounts and prepare necessary reports.
- Manage payroll-related queries and liaise with employees.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
Requirements :
Previous experience with payroll.Proficiency in using computerised payroll systems.Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and organisational abilities.
