Global Veterinary Careers is delighted to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern, fully equipped 24-hour veterinary hospital located in the peaceful East Yorkshire countryside. This role provides the perfect balance of a rewarding career and an excellent work-life pattern with a 7 nights on / 14 nights off rota -offering plenty of time to relax, travel, or pursue your personal interests.

Set in a picturesque rural location with easy access to major cities such as Hull, York, Leeds, and Beverley, this hospital combines tranquil surroundings with convenience. The practice grounds offer a calming environment to unwind during breaks, with beautiful countryside views and carefully maintained outdoor spaces.

The hospital is well-equipped to manage a diverse caseload, offering :

  • 24-hour hospitalisation facilities with separate dog, cat, exotic, and isolation wards
  • Three modern operating theatres with advanced surgical equipment
  • In-house laboratory for rapid diagnostics
  • State-of-the-art imaging facilities : digital X-ray, Doppler, ultrasound, endoscopy (rhinoscopy and arthroscopy), and a CT suite
  • Rehabilitation services, including hydrotherapy, an underwater treadmill, and laser therapy

You will work as part of a dedicated and experienced night team, including RVNs and fellow vets, ensuring exceptional care for inpatients and emergency cases throughout the night.

About the Role :

  • Deliver exceptional overnight care to patients, including hospitalised cases and emergencies
  • Provide clear, compassionate updates to clients, ensuring excellent communication
  • Develop tailored treatment plans with accurate cost estimates
  • Support the wider team by upholding clinical excellence and sharing best practices
  • Collaborate with RVNs and support staff to ensure smooth night operations

  • To be Considered :

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS)
  • Previous experience providing high standards of care in a clinical setting
