Job description

Rapidly expanding integrator requires a skilled EC&I Engineer preferably with water experience. A Senior level candidate would be ideal, however the key is someone who is prepared to be the expert in their discipline, being the lead Engineer and taking on EC&I aspects across all UK sites.EC&I Engineer£40-65k + Healthcare + Matched Pension + DISCheshireRef : 24119Excellent opportunity to join a well known systems integrator providing a key role in supporting process automation projects across the UK.EC&I Engineer  - The Role : Take part in the tendering process – review specifications, create deviation lists and negotiating scope of supplyConfigure and develop PLC & SCADA software for a wide variety of applicationsComplete electrical design for cabling, field power cabling, instrumentation configuration with some electrical schematic designCreate the BOM – Instrument fittings, glands, cables, cable trays etc.Understand contracts with respect to the electrical and instrumentation scope of supply for process automation projects - primarily Water and FMCGPrepare P&ID to company and customer requirementsComplete engineering documents such as instrument lists, IO list, cable list, interconnection diagramCompile FAT & SAT documentsEC&I Engineer - The Person : Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar industryElectrical Design experience – ideally in AutoCadSelf-motivated and willing to be flexible with travelIdeally have previously worked in a similar role within a systems integration environmentAny experience of WIMES for the water sector highly advantageousMUST be an experienced person for this roleThis position will involve c30% travel across the UK with occasional overnights. You will travel out to customers to take client specifications, and then return to support with test & commissioning.
