Hays Senior Finance are supporting a well-established SME business in the Worcestershire area with the recruitment of a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Our client is a rapidly growing manufacturer and supplier to the automotive industry and having recently started the next phase of their growth journey, they are now looking to bring on board a driven and dynamic individual to bolster their existing finance team.

Your new role

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you will take on a hands-on role and focus on the delivery of monthly management accounts.

Key duties :

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Review and reconciliation of nominal accounts
  • Analysis of monthly expenditure
  • Calculation and posting of accruals and prepayments
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Monthly VAT reconciliations
  • Assist with year-end audit process
  • Review of expenses and mileage
  • Ad-hoc reporting tasks

What you'll need to succeed

  • AAT Level 4 qualified or part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Previous management accounting experience with a good understanding of P&L and balance sheet
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills - knowledge of Power BI and Power Query would be an advantage

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work from the office 5 days a week.
