Job Description

Our exciting, privately owned client is currently seeking an Assistant Technical Quality Manager to join the team in Southall, 5 days per week in the office. You will be supporting the Technical Quality Manager in maintaining food safety and compliance throughout their operations.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with Technical & Quality Manager to manage, lead and mentor the technical team (including performance reviews and objective setting).
  • Maintain site specification system (DOSS).
  • Ensure customer portals are regularly updated.
  • Stay up to date with EU & UK food legislation.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality and safety.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.

What we are looking for :

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a Technical or Quality Assurance role within Food Manufacturing.
  • Minimum HACCP Level 3, Food safety level 3. GFSI lead auditor qualification would be advantageous.
  • Experience managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulations and quality assurance frameworks. (HACCP, SALSA, BRCGS A&B).
