CNC Miller Programmer

We are working with a well-developed company that has a focused manufacturing capability based on CNC technology. In addition to traditional standalone machining centres, they have 6 sliding head CNC lathes that allow complete production of finished components from raw bar material. We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join them in their facility in Rotherham.

Key skills required of the CNC Miller Programmer :

• The CNC Miller must have at least 10 years working experience as a CNC Turner (this does not include apprenticeship time).
• Experience as a Setter mainly is required, and some Operating.
• Must have hands-on Programming experience.
• Ability to write programs from drawings - at a high level of competence.
• Must have experience of Fanuc controls.
• This role will be suited to a CNC Turner with a medium to high volume engineering background.
• Experience of cutting a variety of materials - from basic carbon plate, Nicol, duplex, etc.
• We will consider someone who has moved up the ranks.

The successful CNC Miller Programmer will be working for a forward-moving organisation that likes to reinvest in the business and their people. In return, my client is offering an excellent hourly rate inclusive of shift allowance and a bonus scheme of 6% of the basic rate upon successful completion of the agreed probationary period.

Shift 1 : 06 : 30-15 : 00 Monday - Thursday, 06 : 30-14 : 00 Friday

Shift 2 : 14 : 30-23 : 00 Monday - Thursday, 13 : 00-20 : 30 Friday

Overtime is paid at 1.5x total rate (on both basic + bonus).
