Job description

Role : Primary Teaching Assistants

Location : Southport

Salary : £430-£450 per week

Working Days : Flexible Hours

Connex Education is looking for dedicated, proactive and adaptable primary teaching assistants who have experience supporting children with special educational needs and have experience providing general support in primary school classrooms.

About the Schools :

Connex Education work in partnership with multiple primary schools around Southport. The schools generally require day-to-day sickness cover, part-time cover (half-days or 3 days per week), and long-term cover to recruit for permanent / temporary vacancies.

We work in partnership with primary schools in the following areas :

Churchtown
Banks
Southport (centre)
Birkdale
Ainsdale

About the role :

As a primary teaching assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to children with additional needs; small group interventions; and general classroom support. You will have the option of working part-time or full-time and be flexible around the number of days you want to work.

Qualifications and requirements :

Level 2 / 3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable.

Experience supporting children with SEN is essential.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to adapt to different learning needs.

It is essential that you have a DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain a new one through Connex.
