Leonardo have a number of exciting and immediate opportunities for RF Engineers across their sites in Southampton, Basildon and Bristol. We are looking for experienced RF Engineers for Intermediate, Senior and Lead Engineering roles.

About the Role

You will work with industry leading engineers in the development of our RF products. You will support the development of new and existing products, as well as providing solutions for our customers. Day to day duties include;

• Research and development of low Technology Readiness Level (TRL)
• Investigating and defining RF / Communication system architectures and protocols
• Plan and conduct studies in a wide variety of communication technologies including SDR, RF, IP
• Support system integration and test activities
• Support verification of system requirements
• Capture stakeholder and system requirements
• Modelling of components of the system design

Depending on experience, you may lead technical activities and initiatives. Senior / Lead Engineers will have the opportunity to act as Design Authority throughout the project throughout the project lifecycle, and mentor and coach other engineers.

About You

You will have proven experience as a RF Engineer, either through industry or advanced academic research. Ideally, you will have also have a relevant education, although a deep theoretical knowledge is not necessarily required. Successful RF systems engineers will be able to apply their engineering experience that we can build upon through training, team working and mentoring.
