Job Opportunity : Group Financial Controller - PLC (North of Leeds)

We're seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join a high-performing PLC in a newly created position. Based just north of Leeds , this exciting opportunity will see you leading the UK Accounting Team and driving timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting during a pivotal period of change and transformation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Financial Leadership : Lead a large, skilled finance function, ensuring the production of accurate and timely financial reports that meet stringent deadlines and standards.
  • Reporting Excellence : Stay at the forefront of financial reporting standards, ensuring compliance across all reporting activities while driving continuous improvement.
  • Change Management : Play a key role in steering the finance function through an exciting transformation phase, leveraging your expertise to implement best practices and achieve operational efficiency.

Requirements :

  • PLC Experience : Demonstrated experience working in a publicly listed company, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and expectations of this environment.
  • Technical Expertise : Exceptional knowledge of financial reporting standards and the ability to apply them effectively in a complex business context.
  • Finance Leadership : Proven success leading large accounting or finance teams, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing finance function.
