We are currently seeking a Service Manager to manage a growing team of 6 Field Service Engineers and 2 Service Administrators. Our client designs and manufactures electrical products supplying into the UK power network and other high profile customers.Duties and responsibilities will include : - Ensuring the efficient & effective operation of the Service Department- To provide technical support to after-sales customers and service engineers- To coordinate technical training to staff and customers as necessary.- To provide technical assistance to sales enquiries / contracts.- P&L responsibility for the service department.- To seek out ways to grow revenue and profit of the service department.- Ensure best use is made of in house labour for any site work- Ensure H&S is adhered to at all times providing regular updates to Field Service Engineers
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications / experience : - qualified to HND / HNC Electrical / Electronics Engineering or similar- 18th edition wiring regs desirable- experience of UPS, Batteries and Battery Chargers desirable- previous experience as Service Engineer / Supervisor / Manager desirable
